Meet Jolly and Joy

The blogger bylaws state “To be a Big-Time Blogger (BTB), one must host a giveaway.” (I haven’t read them, but I have heard that’s what somebody said that they said.) Therefore, I am offering Jolly and Joy in this one-time special exclusive Christmas-Will-Be-Here-Before-You-Know-It giveaway.

Jolly and Joy are Christmas babies that were lovingly handmade by my little knitter, Emma Conner, Crafter Extraordinaire (ECCE).  Jolly and Joy need a forever home. Would you like for them to live with you?

To enter the contest, you must comment on one of my blog posts. You must comment on Blabberings, not Facebook. You may comment on as many posts as you wish. You will receive one (1) entry if you comment on this post about Jolly and Joy.

You may say anything you like, as long as it’s not unkind or Roll Tide or Roll Tide Roll or any combination or abbreviation of said words. For example,

I want them!

Good job, ECCE!
God bless us every one.

You will receive two (2) entries for any other post on which you comment; however, the comment must let the BTB (me) know that you actually read the post. (Only one comment per post, please.) For example,

The dog in this story personifies the peace that she brings you.

You are by far the prettiest King Girl.

Bonus entries will be awarded if the BTB (me) LOLs. (This is purely subjective.)

The contest will run until 12:00 pm (noon) CST, Sunday, October 20, 2013. Prepare to be pestered ad nauseam via Facebook or just block me.

A low-tech strip of paper with the entrant's name on it will be placed (1 or 2 per comment, as stated above) in my pink flamingo purse and will be drawn at random by ECCE, because she will be home next weekend.

The winner will be announced sometime that afternoon (probably after my nap), and must pinkie promise to take good care of the babies. Jolly and Joy will be transported to the winner’s home via US Postal Service eventually--depending on what all I can come up with to procrastinate, because it’s much more fun to blog about them than to run errands, and they’re So Darn Cute (SDC) that I might not actually want to part with them.

Good luck! I hope you win!

    1. Clever the way you avoided the bad words, but got your point across. I like clever. You might get an extra point for that.

  5. I love ECCE’s Christmas babies! As anyone who has ever been to my house at Christmas will tell you, they’d definitely have a forever home here. Once a Christmas item shows up in our house, it is forever loved and displayed, even after the felt frocking has worn off of the little plastic deer that’s glued to a slice of pine tree with the plastic pine needles that have started to look worse than Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree. I think they’d sit on “drunken” Santa’s lap to maybe hide his beard that was stained yellow in 1991 when my toddler daughter force-fed him apple juice from her shoe (because he didn’t have a cup, of course).

  7. If there's one thing I appreciate, it's the clever use of acronyms (CUA).
